Securecell AG, DataHow AG, and Hamilton held the 2nd Get-together, Learn, and Connect event on October 9, 2024, in the Leiden Bio Science Park in the Netherlands about Enhancing Upstream Bioprocessing through Digital Technologies.
The Get-Together fosters open, scientific dialogue and innovation, with little commercial influences. Our focus is on how digital technologies, advanced modeling, data analytics, and Process Analytical Technology (PAT) are revolutionizing upstream bioprocessing. We aim to explore how these tools can enhance process optimization, improve production outcomes, and drive the future of biomanufacturing. With the area of Leiden being a hotbed of biotechnology including pharma, cellular food, and enzyme production (among others), this get-together meeting seeks to stimulate an exchange on the topic across the industry.
In our event agenda, we were honored to have Rita Marçal, a Process Engineer from Meatable, delivering an insightful talk on "Towards smart manufacturing of cultivated meat".
Dr. Katharina Dahlmann, application and PAT expert from Hamilton, gave a presentation on “The devil in detail. Let's see if it can be measured”.
Dr. Charles Williams, Lead Strategic Projects from LenioBio GmbH, introduced a topic centered on his innovative work with the title "Reimagining protein biomanufacturing with ALiCE®, scalable eukaryotic cell-free protein synthesis".
The session continued with a presentation by Rowin Timmermans, Senior Application Specialist at Securecell, who spoke about "Data-driven implementation of a fully automated kLa determination".
The event's three sponsors—Securecell AG, DataHow AG, and Hamilton—had the opportunity to showcase their company portfolios and present their cutting-edge solutions in bioprocessing automation and digitalization.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Moritz von Stosch, CTO at DataHow AG, and Zeger de Vente, Area Sales Manager at Hamilton, for their invaluable support and we are looking forward to a continued collaboration.
Last but not least, we extend our gratitude to all those who have joined our event. Their engagement and insights were truly appreciated.
Looking ahead, we are excited to announce the 3rd Get-together event, scheduled for February 20th, 2025, at Leiden Bio Science Park in the Netherlands. You can register here
